Family Law

A divorce terminates the marriage contract between the parties. The Court divides the parties assets and debts while taking into account the statutory factors for dividing the assets and debts between the parties.

If there are children of the marriage, the Court will make orders for the care and support of the children and makes orders regarding custody and the contact each parent will have with the children.

Paternity matters involves those cases where unmarried parties have a minor child. The Court makes orders for the care and support of the minor child and makes orders regarding custody and the contact each parent will have with the minor child. I have practiced extensively in this area of the law and will be glad to advise you and represent in any matters involving family law questions.
